Shopko weekly ad is currently available in your local store. Shopko (formerly ShopKo until June 2007) is a chain of retail stores in Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin. Shopko was founded by James Ruben in 1962 and his first store was opened in Green Bay. From 1991 to 2005, the company was held publicly, trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the SKO symbol.

In December 2005, the company was acquired by a subsidiary of Sun Capital Partners and returned to private ownership. In 1999 Shopko bought Pamida, a regional discount chain that operates mainly in smaller communities of 3 000 to 8 000 people.

Shopko operates Pamida as a separate division until 2007, when Pamida of Shopko was divorced and recovered as a separate company. In 2012, Shopko and Pamida merged into one company. Soon after, most of Pamida stores were recognized as Shopko Hometown.
